Price Tag Realization

While I was in college I treated my allowance as salary from my dear mother. I was able to save, buy what I feel I have to and want to –in short, I was an impulsive buyer.  Aren’t most college students are? Anyway, despite being able to save money, the books that I could only buy were those below 200.00 Php since my allowance a day wasn’t enough that my daily expenses kind of ate a quarter of it. Buying personal stuff and delicious pricey treats from above-average food establishments on impulse (their TV ads and humongous billboards on the streets were so effective!) added to the dilemma. So yeah, I wasn’t really appreciative of money value back then.

But I just realized that when you’re not a student anymore, everything changes! The value of   spending cash becomes important. Now let me lay out the connection of my realization to my present situation, if you have subscribed on my blog or has been following it because you love books too, just like me, you’ll remember my post about me thinking of purchasing a copy of Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie. You’ll also recall I mentioned two prospective online stores because they sell the book cheaper than National Bookstore’s offer (it’s 795.00 Php! That’s really expensive!). Plus, buying online gives awesome convenience, it keeps me, and everybody else, from going through the hassle.

So yeah, it’s definitely decided –on my payday, I’ll order a copy!
