Going home last night I
saw my books, those I told you sitting in my room’s
extended glass-top table, they wave with dust telling me they have been stacked
for too long –I’m trying to finish
reading Larry Stockstill’s “The Remnant” and Willy W. Chua’s “Harvesting in
Famine: Victorious Living in Times of Crises” alternately for more than half a
year now; I know it’s a shame that I call myself a bookworm but won’t even find
time to finish them! You can’t blame me, I’m having a hectic schedule coming
straight from college to working!- then I realized it will take me really
really long before I can finish half of them or even start reading a quarter of
them especially now that I got work!
But then, I want to take a time off and
read them, seriously, they’re an amazing set! I got 4 books for free during a
10-day conference. Another 3 are books given as gifts which includes Yancey’s What Good is God, Hank Hanegraaff’s “The
Prayer of Jesus” and John Bevere’s “Under Cover: The Promise of Protection
Under His Authority”.
Geez, I can go on and on but it’ll be
better if I will intentionally find time to enjoy them. Meanwhile I hear from
friends some good authors that are to look for when I go to a store: Paulo
Coelho (this guy’s quotes are tweeted a lot by many friends!), Josh Grisham
(they say his novels are the best), Don Piper (I know John Piper) and many
more. Remember my last post? I
mentioned 2 shopping sites, Amazon
and Lazada PH, I’m thinking about buying
on either of the two of them. Reasonable prices on brand new books!
Just to refresh I found a good video on
youtube. Kudos to the makers of this video!
