Looking for the ideal house is quite a pain
in the you-know-what because of the vast ocean of choices out there. As a kid,
I grew up in the South, (for those in the know, the South is the Paranaque,
Alabang and Las Pinas areas) that is Paranaque City to be exact and I never
even once in my life had thoughts of leaving my neighborhood. When I first got
a job in the corporate world and started earning decent money, I thought of
pursuing my childhood plans of purchasing a home inside or if not inside,
perhaps in close proximity to my very comfortable neighborhood. Just to provide
some background information, the village that I am living in right now is
Merville Subdivision, a suburban type of community inhabited by middle to upper
middle up to upper class income families. I can accurately and humbly say that
I belong or I came from a middle income one family-car household (most families
in the village has at least 2 cars). When I thought I already scrooge up enough
cash to make a down payment for a fair sized home in the village, I started
shopping around for the ideal house and lot at a price range that I am
comfortable with. Not surprisingly, the search for that dream house in my own
neighborhood was an utterly complete failure. It wasn’t because I couldn’t find
a suitable looking home but rather the reason was that the typical price of a
house and lot in the area is way beyond my total net worth.
I was almost getting ready to jump ship and
abandon my plans of owning a home when I came upon Profriends while killing my time in the office 30 minutes
before the classy black and gold wall clock put its long and short hand
simultaneously on the number 12 and 5 position ushering in the start of the end
(of the shift that is). I perused the wall posts, read the descriptions of the
photos and did a little bit of home window shopping as I realized that it is
the Facebook page of a well-known real estate development company called
Property Company of Friends or Profriends. I browsed through to check the
company’s real estate developments. One particular
development caught my attention, it was the
Bellefort Estates. As I look at the information, I found out that the prices
are within my range at the same quality with the ones found in our subdivision.
It didn’t matter to me anymore if it is going to be outside of the village I
grew up in because it really wouldn’t take that much time to get there. I got particularly interested at the Vivienne
house model because of its clean, masculine architectural features despite its
very feminine name. I also like it that I have the freedom to install a balcony
for only 245k to be added to the overall selling price of the property. The
main feature that I dig is the linear park that provides a family courtyard for
every backyard that’s great for hanging out and weekend barbecues. Bellefort
Estates is a great deal. Good price point without sacrificing prestige and
quality. A beautiful refuge indeed.
